Nghe An Provincial leaders congratulate Border Guard on the 64th anniversary of its tradition

On the morning of March 2, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee came to congratulate the Provincial Border Guard Command on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Border Guard's traditional day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2023) and the 34th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2023).

In 2022 and the first months of 2023, under the leadership of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Border Guard Command; Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Nghe An province; the coordination of all levels and branches of the province, Party committees and local authorities of border districts; especially the help and facilitation of local people on the two border lines, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province continues to promote tradition, excellently completing assigned political tasks in all aspects of work.

In particular, it is necessary to effectively manage and protect national border sovereignty; maintain security and order on the two borders of the province. At the same time, effectively carry out border diplomacy with Laos...

The Provincial Border Guard force continues to do a good job in fighting and preventing crimes, especially drug crimes, human trafficking, etc., contributing to containing all types of crimes.

Border Guard officers and soldiers have also increased their visits to the field, working in villages and hamlets, especially those at risk of having no Party members, consolidating political bases in communes, villages and hamlets in border areas; actively coordinating with local Party committees and authorities to carry out socio-economic development tasks, helping people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, thereby helping border districts to be more steadfast in carrying out their tasks; at the same time, performing very well the work of preventing and fighting natural disasters, rescue and relief;...

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the working delegation and the people of the province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong thanked, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the Border Guard force to the cause of national defense and security; as well as the implementation of socio-economic development goals and building the political system in the province.

Expressing sympathy and sharing the difficulties, hardships and sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the Border Guard force, comrade Nguyen Van Thong sent his wishes for good health, "strong legs and soft stones", continuing to demonstrate bravery, and excellently completing the political tasks of the unit as well as the locality.

In particular, the Nghe An Border Guard needs to continue to focus on the following aspects of work: Performing the best and most effective functions and tasks to absolutely protect the border lines; building a strong, elite, and gradually modernized unit and force, performing well the combat readiness tasks; and being ready to sacrifice and work hard to serve the important tasks of the locality.

At the same time, the Provincial Border Guard needs to continue promoting spirit and effective methods to advise and assist Party committees in building and improving leadership capacity and the ability to deploy military and defense tasks; especially in localities along the border lines.

Thereby contributing to the best implementation of political tasks in the area; ensuring national defense, security; safety and territorial integrity at border lines; helping localities to effectively and quickly implement socio-economic development goals, building a stronger political system at all levels, especially at the grassroots level.

On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard, Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command thanked the attention, leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee for the border work, the fence of the Fatherland and the activities of the Border Guard.

In the coming time, the situation and tasks will become more and more demanding. Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc promised that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, cohesion, leadership and direction of units on the two border lines to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
