In a warm and sincere atmosphere, the representative of the Provincial Military Command quickly reported the outstanding achievements that have been achieved in the past time. With the motto of actively innovating and creating in training, combat readiness as well as proactively coordinating with the Provincial Police and Border Guard forces to firmly grasp and control the situation, the Provincial Military Command has gradually built an increasingly strong and comprehensive unit.

Appreciating the achievements that the Provincial Military Command has achieved in the past time, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh hopes that the unit will continue to fulfill its assigned tasks well. Even in peacetime, it is necessary to raise vigilance against the sabotage plots of hostile forces, especially in the context of the complicated changes in the world situation. The Provincial Military Command needs to build the province's armed forces to be increasingly disciplined, elite, and modern, focusing on training the militia and self-defense forces... to be ready to maneuver in all unexpected and complicated situations.

Continuing the working program, the delegation visited and congratulated the Provincial Border Guard Command. After listening to the leaders of the Nghe An Border Guard Command report on the highlights of the work situation, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh acknowledged the efforts and achievements that the unit has achieved. Although in charge of a long, rugged border, a large area, and many ethnic groups, the provincial border guard force always maintains border security sovereignty, ensures political security, social order and safety, and makes an important contribution to the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the province competing to develop the economy, culture and society.

In particular, with the effective operation of 84 border and boundary marker self-management teams; 716 village and hamlet security and order self-management teams; 58 boat safety teams; 18 wharf security and order self-management teams, urgent issues arising from practice are promptly handled.

Nghe An Provincial Border Guard is currently managing and protecting 468,281 km of border, adjacent to 3 provinces of Laos: Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay and 82 km of coastline. The management area includes 61 communes and wards in 11 border districts and towns. The population is more than 457 thousand people with 7 ethnic groups living together.

For complicated areas, especially border areas, it is necessary to always proactively grasp the situation of people in border areas to advise the Party Committee, take control in all situations; strengthen prevention of drug trafficking, smuggled goods, and prohibited goods.

At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen effective coordination with Laos to promptly grasp the situation and combat increasingly sophisticated and complicated cross-border crimes.
