Leaders of Nghe An province offer flowers to commemorate comrade Phung Chi Kien

On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Phung Chi Kien (May 18, 1901 - May 18, 2021), the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a flower and incense offering ceremony at the comrade's memorial site in Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of a number of departments, branches, mass organizations at the provincial level, Dien Chau district and relatives of comrade Phung Chi Kien.

Comrade Phung Chi Kien's birth name was Nguyen Vi, born on May 18, 1901 in My Quan Thuong village, now Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An).

Comrade Phung Chi Kien's revolutionary life is closely linked to the heroic history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people. Inheriting the patriotic and indomitable tradition of his homeland and people, from a patriotic youth, he soon joined the revolution and was an excellent, loyal and close student of President Ho Chi Minh.

Comrade Phung Chi Kien was well-trained, became an international communist soldier, a shrewd and loyal politician, and through fighting and training in the revolutionary movement became a talented and accomplished military man, the commander of the National Salvation Army - one of the predecessor units of the Vietnam People's Army.

The life and revolutionary career of comrade Phung Chi Kien is a shining example of a communist who fought all his life, was brave and indomitable before the enemy, sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, and maintained his fighting will until the last moment.

In the solemn moment, before the spirit of comrade Phung Chi Kien, the delegation offered flowers and incense to express their respect, admiration, gratitude and deep gratitude for his great contributions and sacrifices.

Over the years, promoting the revolutionary tradition of the heroic Soviet homeland, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Nghe An province have persevered in overcoming many difficulties and challenges, creating new momentum and strength to build the province to become increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized, worthy of being the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh and exemplary revolutionary predecessors.
