(Baonghean.vn) - Early morning on May 10, Doctor Pham Ngoc Quy - Head of the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Nghe An province informed that the number of children infected at Thuan Son Kindergarten, Do Luong district is 76.
Thuan Son Kindergarten organizes a semi-boarding meal for children from 2 to 5 years old, divided into 2 different diets, for 2-year-old children and children from 3 to 5 years old. On the afternoon of May 9, after returning from a rice planting experience, children from 3 to 5 years old were fed yogurt and then showed symptoms.food poisoningsuch as stomachache, vomiting, diarrhea. The 2 year old only ate rice and previous food, not yogurt so he was not poisoned.

After showing symptoms of food poisoning, 76 children were taken to Thuan Son Commune Health Station for care and treatment. Some children were taken directly to Do Luong District General Hospital by their parents.
After receiving care, the health of 76 children with food poisoning has recovered. 21 children treated at the medical station have stabilized and have been allowed to go home; the remaining 55 children treated at the Do Luong District General Hospital have stopped vomiting and stomachache, all have no fever, are alert and eat well.

Immediately after the poisoning incident, leaders of Do Luong district, the Department of Education and Training, and the Nghe An Department of Health were present to direct the care and treatment of the children, grasp the incident, and encourage the families and children who were poisoned.
