This afternoon (May 15), information from Kon Tum City Police, Kon Tum Province said that this unit has detained a reporter named Du Nghia to clarify the act of receiving money from a business in Kon Tum City.
The detention of reporter Du Nghia was carried out by Kon Tum City Police at noon on May 15 at Dong Que restaurant, 713 Phan Dinh Phung street, Kon Tum city.

Initial information shows that on May 13, reporter Du Nghia published an article titled “Kon Tum: Businesses accused of hiring gangsters to assault people?” in the Vietnam Law Newspaper.
The content reflects the fact that Tai Hong Nhung enterprise (address 108, Nguyen Huu Tho street, Ngo May ward, Kon Tum city, trading in construction materials) due to business competition sent gangsters to cause trouble and beat people of another enterprise in the area.
After the article was published, reporter Du Nghia contacted Tai Hong Nhung Company and said he would publish the article until the end. Tai Hong Nhung Company asked to withdraw the article and not continue publishing. Reporter Du Nghia asked the company to contribute 50 million VND and while receiving the money from the company, the police raided and caught him red-handed.
