Thanh Chuong young man lost everything because his chicken farm was flooded and received 115 million VND in support from Thuy Tien - Cong Vinh
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Duy Diep said that with the money he received from Cong Vinh - Thuy Tien and other benefactors, he will buy chicken breeds to revive the chicken farm so as not to disappoint the benefactors.
Noon 3/11,Mr. Nguyen Duy Diep (28 years old), residing in Thanh Phong commune (Thanh Chuong)unexpectedly received good news when the charity group of Thuy Tien - Cong Vinh couple supported him with a total amount of 115 million VND to recover after the flood.
Mr. Diep has a very difficult situation. His father died when he was 3 years old, and his mother raised 3 siblings alone. After working many jobs to make a living, Nguyen Duy Diep left the city, returned to his hometown, rented land to set up a livestock farm.
At the beginning of this year, Nguyen Duy Diep used all his capital and borrowed more money from the bank to raise 13,000 chickens, release 5,000 pomfret fish and many other fish. In late October, Diep also showed off on Facebook that his chickens were about to be sold, and the fish were about to be harvested. He plans to renovate his house by the end of the year so that his mother will no longer have to stay in the chicken farm...

However, late on October 29, the flood came. The water rose quickly, submerging the chicken farm. He quickly called his relatives for help. Thanh Phong commune authorities, the youth union and many others rushed to help him move the buffaloes and cows to safety. Of Diep's flock of 13,000 chickens, only about 5,000 were saved, the rest died in the flood. The saved ones also gradually died from cold and lack of food.
Nguyen Duy Diep's story of starting a business with chickens and the image of thousands of dead chickens in the muddy flood water moved many people. Authorities of Thanh Chuong district, Thanh Phong commune and many philanthropists joined hands to help Nguyen Duy Diep.
At noon on November 3, when the charity group of Thuy Tien - Cong Vinh couple came to support the flooded area of Thanh Chuong, Nguyen Duy Diep was supported with 115 million VND.
Nguyen Duy Diep was very happy to receive the large sum of money. He said that since the flood, the local government and many benefactors have supported him with more than 20 million VND. With this money, he will not pay the bank immediately but will continue to buy breeding stock, revive the chicken farm, and restock the fish pond to continue his unfinished dream of starting a business.
"Through Nghe An Newspaper, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the agencies, departments, and organizations of Thanh Chuong district and Thanh Phong commune who, despite the danger, helped me save my property, evacuate cows, chickens, and ducks at night, and supported me when the flood had just receded; thank you to the philanthropists across the country and Mr. and Mrs. Thuy Tien - Cong Vinh for giving me more motivation to start over. I will try my best not to let everyone down," Nguyen Duy Diep shared.
