On the morning of August 22, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control announced that it had received Covid-19 test results for the sample of Mr. LTA (29 years old, residing in Ben Thuy ward).
"The first test result showed that he was negative for Covid-19. However, the patient still has to be isolated and treated in the hospital for 14 days. The unit will take a second sample," said an officer from the Nghe An CDC.

On the evening of August 21, the People's Committee of Ben Thuy Ward issued a document informing about this case. According to the People's Committee, this man traveled from Quang Ngai to live in the ward since August 9 but did not declare his health status as required. At 5:00 p.m. on August 21, he had symptoms of chills, fever, and chills, so he went to the station to declare his health status.
After that, the patient's body temperature showed a fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius. Nghe An CDC took samples for testing and transferred him to the hospital for timely isolation and treatment.
