Nghe An Department of Education awarded certificate of merit to 3rd grade student who bravely saved a drowning friend
(Baonghean.vn) - Although he is in 3rd grade, Nguyen Huu Phuc, class 3B - Vinh Son Primary and Secondary School, Anh Son district, was very quick-witted and brave in saving 2 other friends from drowning.
The Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training has just signed a decision to award a Certificate of Merit to Nguyen Huu Phuc (8 years old) - class 3B - Vinh Son Primary and Secondary School, Anh Son district for his brave action in saving two children from drowning.
Along with this decision, the Department of Education and Training also hasReport and submit a proposal to the Ministry of Education and Training to propose awarding a Certificate of Merit to Nguyen Huu Phuc.

When they got to Bau Chua, they saw Linh Dan and her younger brother Sy Huy (a 4-year-old kindergarten student) struggling in the deep water. Nguyen Huu Phuc calmly and quickly pulled out a bamboo pole from the fence of a local house and dropped it down, calling the two sisters to grab it so that Phuc could pull them to shore and save them from drowning.
Discussing further about the case of Nguyen Huu Phuc, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training affirmed: This is a brave and intelligent act, saving a person in danger from drowning and deserves to be exemplified and rewarded. We also hope that through Phuc's example, there will be more examples of good students, good deeds and the spread of good actions in the school environment.
