Nghe An: 5 students infected with Covid-19, an elementary school class switched to online learning
(Baonghean.vn) - All 5A students at Quynh Phuong B Primary School, Hoang Mai Town had to switch to online learning because a student in the class was infected with Covid-19.
Morning of January 4,Nghe An56 new Covid-19 infections were recorded, including 25 community cases, notably 20 community cases in Hoang Mai town, worryingly, many of them were students at Quynh Phuong B Primary School.
Immediately after receiving the test results, the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee went directly to the localities where F0 cases appeared, including Quynh Phuong, Quynh Loc, and Quynh Thien, to grasp the situation and direct the work of epidemic prevention and control.
Among the 20 cases of Covid-19 infection in the whole town, there are 5 students at Quynh Phuong B Primary School. This is considered a complicated cluster of cases because the students have been studying directly and have been in close contact with each other. In addition, the students are not old enough to be vaccinated against the epidemic.

On January 3, Quynh Phuong Ward directed the collection of samples for testing of all students of Quynh Phuong B Primary School with a total of over 800 students; today, January 4, continued to collect samples for testing of all students of Quynh Phuong Secondary School with a total of over 600 students to promptly separate F0s from the community.
"Recognizing that this is a complex cluster of diseases, Quynh Phuong Ward has decided to stop all 5A students of Quynh Phuong B Primary School with nearly 40 students from in-person learning and switch to online learning starting today, January 4. Other classes and levels will continue to conduct in-person learning as usual" - said a representative of Quynh Phuong Ward authorities.
Up to now, the wholeHoang Mai Town443 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded. Currently, the locality is directing wards and communes to focus on medical isolation in areas where F0 cases have appeared, and at the same time, quickly trace those who have been in close contact with the patients to isolate them according to regulations, ensuring that outbreaks are contained as soon as possible so that people can rest assured to celebrate Tet and enjoy the upcoming Spring Festival.
