Nghe An: Caught red-handed an establishment illegally mining 800m3 of white stone
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial Police have just caught dozens of subjects and vehicles illegally mining 800m3 of various types of white stone in Pha Chung Mountain, Quy Hop District.
Recently, the crime situation in the field of mineral exploitation has become complicated, the situationillegal miningcausing damage to the State and causing resentment among the masses.

Faced with that situation, under the direction of the Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, on July 13, the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with the Mobile Police Department to catch dozens of subjects and vehicles engaged in large-scale illegal mineral (white stone) mining activities in Pha Chung mountain area, Ken hamlet, Chau Loc commune, Quy Hop district, Nghe An.

The authorities have temporarily seized 5 excavators, 1 truck, 4 stone cutting machines (2-wire cutting machines), 2 steam generators, 2 vertical drilling machines serving illegal mineral exploitation activities. The amount of illegally exploited minerals seized at the scene is about 800m3 white stone of all kinds, worth more than 10 billion VND.

The investigation agency has detained Tran Van Bay (born in 1970), residing in Minh Xuan hamlet, Minh Hop commune, Quy Hop district - the owner of the above mineral exploitation site.
