Nghe An has a new Chairman of the Provincial Gardening Association

During the last term, the Provincial Gardening Association has continuously developed in both quantity and quality. In 2013, the number of members was 60,455 people, by the end of 2018, the number of members increased to 61,371, compared to the beginning of the period, the number of members increased by 1,371 members.

Currently, the whole province has 20/21 districts and cities, 296 communes, wards and towns with associations; 2,496 village and hamlet branches; 4 members are enterprises under the Provincial Gardening Association.

The quality of members has also been constantly improved in some district and commune-level associations. Every year, members are trained in association work, production techniques and model tours. Many districts have organized the issuance of cards to members to facilitate the management and activities of the association.

Besides the achievements, there are still limitations in the association's work. The development of the association is uneven, some associations operate at a low level.The direction and content of activities of grassroots associations are still confused and lack dynamism. They have not proactively proposed models and projects to implement local socio-economic development programs, but still rely on the government's assignment.

In the coming term, Nghe An Gardening Association sets specific goals such as: striving for 100% of districts, cities and towns to have an association. Each district, city and town develops 2-3 more branches, recruiting 50-100 members. 100% of members have membership cards. Speaking at the congress, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the achievements that Nghe An Gardening Association has achieved in the past 5 years and expected the association to successfully complete the tasks set out in the next term.

He emphasized that due to the large number of members, the association needs to focus on consolidating and building increasingly strong association officials, increasing propaganda and dissemination to members about policies and regulations so that the association can develop further, have many good models, and contribute to the economic development of the province.

After 2 days of hard work, the 6th Congress of the Nghe An Gardening Association for the 2018-2023 term was successful. The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 21 members, a Standing Committee of 5 members and an Inspection Committee of 3 members. Mr. Nguyen The Thang was elected as Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Gardening Association for the 2018-2023 term.
