Nghe An and 27 localities receive government support to overcome consequences of natural disasters in 2022
Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has just signed Decision 1661/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2022 to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the first 10 months of 2022.

In 2022, due to the impact of storm No. 2, storm No. 3 and storm circulation No. 4, Nghe An province continuously suffered heavy to very heavy rains, causing flash floods, landslides and widespread flooding.
Specifically, an additional 1,800 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2022 will be provided to 28 localities, including: Lang Son 50 billion VND, Lao Cai 40 billion VND, Lai Chau 30 billion VND, Ha Giang 30 billion VND, Tuyen Quang 40 billion VND, Cao Bang 30 billion VND, Bac Kan 40 billion VND, Hoa Binh 60 billion VND, Dien Bien 30 billion VND, Son La 40 billion VND, Yen Bai 30 billion VND, Phu Tho 50 billion VND, Ninh Binh 40 billion VND, Thanh Hoa 120 billion VND, Nghe An 200 billion VND, Ha Tinh 50 billion VND, Quang Binh 70 billion VND, Quang Tri 120 billion VND, Thua Thien Hue 150 billion VND, Da Nang 100 billion VND, Quang Nam 150 billion VND, Quang Ngai 100 billion VND, Phu Yen 30 billion VND, Kon Tum 30 billion VND, Dak Lak 10 ... Lak 40 billion VND, Dak Nong 30 billion VND, Lam Dong 30 billion VND, Ca Mau 70 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the first 10 months of 2022.
The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the Ministries of Finance, Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committees of the above-mentioned provinces and cities are fully responsible for the accuracy of the content and data of the reports and proposals.
The Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities shall direct the management, use, and settlement of supported funds within the correct scope, for the correct subjects, and in accordance with the provisions of the State Budget Law, the Law on Public Investment, and relevant legal documents; be responsible for mobilizing local resources to complete projects on schedule and effectively with the support funds of the central budget; send the allocation results, including the list of projects and the amount of support funds for each project, to the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for synthesis, monitoring, and reporting to the Prime Minister.
For funding to implement long-term investment projects, it shall be arranged in the annual local budget estimates to comply with the provisions of the State Budget Law, the Public Investment Law and relevant legal provisions.
Provide support for damaged crop, livestock and aquatic species according to the provisions of Decree No. 02/2017/ND-CP dated January 9, 2017 of the Government on mechanisms and policies to support agricultural production to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics; support for damage to housing and famine relief rice according to the provisions of Decree No. 20/2021/ND-CP dated March 15, 2021 of the Government stipulating social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries; provide emergency support for population relocation according to the provisions of Decree No. 66/2021/ND-CP dated July 6, 2021 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Law on Dikes.
