Nghe An aims to have 20,000 effectively operating enterprises by 2025.
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to concretize the province's action program on enterprise development, on the afternoon of May 17, in Vinh City, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session to listen to and give opinions on the Project on Enterprise Development in Nghe An Province to 2025.
Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, agencies, branches and centers, business associations, entrepreneurs and a number of districts, cities and towns.

ProjectNghe An Business DevelopmentBy 2025, the Department of Planning and Investment has developed a master plan and received comments from departments, branches, districts and towns for the third round. By May 2021, the whole province had 13,400 operating enterprises, ranking 10th in the country.
Total registered enterprise capital from 2016 to 2020 was 60,152 billion VND; revenue was 170,700 billion VND, net revenue and average growth rate reached 9.2%/year, up 35.14% compared to the average of the period 2011-2015; in 2020, the contribution of enterprises to the total product in the province (GRDP) reached 37.86%, creating new jobs for 15,835 workers.
Besides the above positive features, recently, due to the influence ofCovid-19 pandemic19andinternational integration,Nghe An enterprises have revealed many difficulties and limitations. In addition, although the number of enterprises is in the top 10 nationwide, Nghe An ranks 51st in the number of enterprises/people; the scale of small and micro enterprises (under 50 billion VND/enterprise) accounts for 98%; outdated technology, enterprises actually operating only account for 56.48% of registered enterprises.

Besides, in recent times, although the province has had many mechanisms and policies to support the improvement ofinvestment environmentbusiness, but due to the limited internal capacity of enterprises; the mechanisms, policies of the province and the infrastructure of the province are still inadequate; the support and promotion solutions are not really commensurate; the essential infrastructure of the province is still lacking and not synchronized.

According to the project, Nghe An strives to have 30,000 enterprises by 2025, of which 20,000 are operating effectively. To implement this, the province has proposed 7 groups of support solutions including: promoting business development, developing the quantity and improving the quality of enterprises; investing in completing infrastructure; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of enterprises; continuing to improve and improve the efficiency of business association organizations; improving the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises.
According to the project, small and medium-sized enterprises will receive separate support in human resource development and promotion, market expansion, access to credit, legal advice information; encourage businesses to transform digitally; support startups, innovation, creativity and businesses when participating in industry clusters, creating new value chains; support for warehouses, transportation fees, etc.

Concluding the working session, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is a concrete project.action planTo implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, it is necessary to prepare carefully and qualitatively; clearly understand the number of operating enterprises and the rate of enterprises participating in business associations to propose support mechanisms and policies.
The province is currently considering amending policies on investment attraction support, investment project acceptance procedures, etc., so it will continue to review and edit for consistency and comprehensiveness. Agreeing with the general layout of this draft project, the Department of Planning and Investment is requested to absorb and synthesize opinions from departments and branches to complete the project; in which, develop tables and appendices; have a specific implementation roadmap. On the basis of the general project, the province will have support mechanisms according to groups of solutions to suit each type of enterprise./.
