Nghe An won many awards in the contest 'Imprint of environmental protection propagandists'

On the evening of December 26, in Vinh city, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with Nghe An Provincial Youth Union to organize the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the contest "Imprint of environmental protection propagandists".

Following the success of the contest "Imprint of environmental protection propagandists in 2018", the Central Youth Union continues to implement the contest "Imprint of environmental protection propagandists in 2019" in 7 provinces - pilot localities under Project 712 of the Prime Minister (Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Dong Thap, Ben Tre).

Through clips and reports, the contest “Imprints of Environmental Protection Propaganda” reflected the propaganda activities of the teams to the people about environmental protection. The contents selected by the Central Youth Union Secretariat in the contest are the direction of activities for the teams, with output requirements, on that basis to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental protection propaganda teams.

After the contest was launched, the Central Youth Union received 28 entries (out of 33 pilot communes) with diverse and rich content. Through the entries, it can be seen that the propagandists were proactive and creative in their propaganda work, with a variety of content and forms.

With the motto of "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to guide people on how to treat waste, along with the content of propaganda and instructions of "holding hands, showing how to do it" has helped people build, maintain and operate the model effectively; mobilized a large number of union members, youth and people to participate together in planting beautiful rows of trees and flower paths on all the roads...

Many localities have been creative in using discarded tires to make beautiful flower pots; utilizing many waste materials to make tanks to protect the environment...

Head of the Central Youth Union's Rural Youth Department Nguyen Thi Thu Van highly appreciated the efforts of the propaganda teams; commended the pioneering, voluntary and creative spirit of young people in propaganda work, mobilizing people to protect the environment.

From there, it affects people's thinking and changes their awareness, making the environment green, clean, and beautiful, contributing positively to the construction of new rural areas and model new rural areas.

Recognizing and praising the achievements of the teams, the Central Youth Union awarded 9 prizes to the teams participating in the contest "Imprint of environmental protection propagandists", in which the Environmental Protection Propaganda Team of Gao Giong commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province won first prize.

Nghe An has an environmental protection propaganda team from Luc Da commune, Con Cuong district, which won the second prize and the consolation prize for the unit with the most attractive and creative form of propaganda; the environmental protection propaganda team from Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, won the Encouragement prize.

- Environmental protection propaganda team of Gao Giong commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province. The unit propagates and mobilizes people to implement many models of waste classification and treatment into organic fertilizer.
