Nghe An reduces centralized quarantine time to prevent Covid-19 epidemic to 14 days
(Baonghean.vn) - Following the guidance of the Ministry of Health, Nghe An has issued a document adjusting the centralized quarantine time to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province has just issued a document on updating the implementation of epidemic prevention measures to the district-level Steering Committees, provincial departments and branches and a number of relevant agencies.
In particular, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province decided to adjust the centralized quarantine time, management time after the end of centralized quarantine and epidemic prevention testing.
Specifically, Nghe An province has adjusted the centralized quarantine period from at least 21 days to at least 14 days. Except for those entering the country to work for less than 14 days and those entering the country for quarantine according to other regulations of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health. Testing will be conducted at least 3 times on the first day, the 7th day and the 13th day of the centralized quarantine period.
Continue to isolate at home or at the place of residence for at least 14 days (from the date of the decision to complete centralized isolation) for all cases of citizens returning to localities in the province after completing the centralized isolation period. Organize sample collection for the above cases on the 7th day from the date of isolation at home or at the place of residence. Strictly implement the management, supervision of isolation, handover and medical monitoring and supervision to ensure no cross-infection and spread to the community.

Previously, on July 14, the Ministry of Health issued Document No. 5599/BYT-MT to provinces and cities regarding the reduction of quarantine time, piloting F1 medical quarantine at home, and managing and treating Covid-19 patients. Accordingly, based on practical experience and referring to recommendations from the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Vietnam, in order to respond to the timely and effective prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Health decided to reduce the quarantine time from 21 days to 14 days for F1 subjects and entrants.
