Expected to elect 13 National Assembly deputies
Accordingly, pursuant to the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies 2015, Joint Resolution No. 09/2021 on guiding the process of consultation and introduction of candidates for National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
For Nghe An province, after discussing and agreeing with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee plans to allocate the number of candidates for election as delegates.National AssemblyThe XV term has 13 delegates. Of which, the number of delegates residing and working in Nghe An is 7 delegates, the number of delegates introduced by the Central Committee is 6 delegates.

After the first consultation conference, on the basis of adjusting the structure, composition and number of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will distribute to agencies, organizations and units to carry out the process of introducing candidates for the XV National Assembly.
At the same time, organize the consultation steps according to regulations so that after the 3rd Consultation Conference, together with 5 candidates introduced by the Central Committee, an official list of candidates for the 15th National Assembly will be established.

The 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, will elect 83 delegates.
The Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also held the first consultation to agree on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the election of delegates.People's Council of Nghe An province18th term, 2021-2026 term.
Accordingly, the number of delegates of the 18th term Nghe An Provincial People's Council is 83 people, including 47 provincial delegates, 21 district delegates, 7 commune delegates, and 8 other organizations.
In addition, according to the structure and composition of the 18th term People's Council of Nghe An province, term 2021-2026, it is ensured that at least 35% of the total number of people on the official list of candidates for the Provincial People's Council are women; 12% are ethnic minorities; Non-Party members are not less than 10% of the total number of people nominated for candidacy.
Young delegates (under 40 years old) must not be less than 15%; strive to achieve a rate of 30% or more of the 17th term People's Council delegates re-elected as 18th term People's Council delegates.

Speaking at the conference, Chairwoman of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh emphasized that the first consultation conference is the premise for implementing the next steps in the election preparation process, especially organizing the next consultation conferences to achieve results. The consultation work to select and introduce candidates must ensure true democracy, compliance with the law, and on schedule.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and agreeing on the structure, composition, and number of candidates nominated for election to the 15th National Assembly and the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term by agencies, organizations, units, and localities to ensure the balance of candidates and the proportion of candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council who are women and ethnic minorities according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies 2015.
