Nghe An: More than 4.8 billion VND to install 3 light clusters at traffic 'hot spots'
(Baonghean.vn) - The intersection of Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Hong Bang, Kim Dong streets; the intersection of Nguyen Truong To street with 72 meter road and the intersection of Phong Dinh Cang, An Duong Vuong, Phan Cong Tich (Vinh City) are installing traffic lights to ensure safety for people.
The intersection of Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Hong Bang and Kim Dong streets is one of the most important traffic intersections in Vinh City, connecting key routes. However, traffic jams and collisions often occur here due to high traffic volume, especially during rush hours.

The intersection of Nguyen Truong To Street with 72-meter road and the intersection of Phong Dinh Cang, An Duong Vuong, Phan Cong Tich are also traffic "hot spots" in the city. Especially the intersection of 72-meter road with Nguyen Truong To Street in Hung Dong commune often has traffic accidents, heavy trucks often pass through this intersection, making people feel insecure and worried.
Faced with the traffic safety situation at these three points, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 2741/QD-UBND approving the installation of three traffic light clusters at these hot spots.

Currently, the installation of the light clusters is gradually being completed, the light clusters at the intersection of Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Hong Bang, Kim Dong streets are now energized and operational. This is a light cluster that uses solar energy to help the lights operate continuously in bad weather, up to 20 - 25 days. The remaining two intersections have completed the construction of the light poles, and are currently waiting to be connected to the grid to operate.
Along with the installation of traffic lights, these points are also painted with directional arrows, pedestrian lines, red light stop lines, lane dividers and speed bumps.

The total investment of the project is more than 4.8 billion VND, taken from the provincial budget and annual traffic safety assurance sources.
These 3 intersections are hot spots where accidents and traffic jams often occur in Vinh City, so installing traffic lights will ensure the safety of people and vehicles when participating in traffic, contributing to the development of urban civilization, limiting traffic jams - a difficult problem in Vinh City today. In the coming time, we will study and install more light clusters at other intersections so that people can travel safely.
