Nghe An: More than 400 citizens return home from epidemic areas
(Baonghean.vn) - In Nghe An, through preliminary screening, 405 cases of citizens returning from epidemic areas have been recorded, classified, quarantined and monitored according to regulations.
On January 29, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province had an online meeting with members of the district-level Steering Committee on implementing urgent measures to prevent and control the epidemic.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of districts, cities and towns to direct the screening, tracing and making a list of people returning from Hai Duong, Quang Ninh provinces and related localities from January 15, 2021 (especially citizens related to Van Don airport and POYUN factory, Cong Hoa industrial park, Chi Linh city, Hai Duong). Direct the consolidation and improvement of self-management teams for epidemic prevention and control in residential groups, villages and hamlets in the province. Conduct screening according to the motto "go to every alley, knock on every door, check every person", to control and monitor population changes and medical surveillance, and promptly disseminate new policies of the Central and the province on epidemic prevention and control measures.
Along with that, it is necessary to review and tighten the implementation of epidemic prevention measures in the area, limit unnecessary crowds, consider organizing festivals and cultural activities on the occasion of Tet, welcoming the New Year of Tan Suu, paying special attention to crowded places.
Focus on disseminating the “5K” message in epidemic prevention and control as recommended by the Ministry of Health. First of all, it is mandatory to wear masks and disinfect in quarantine areas, concentrated residential areas, public places such as markets, supermarkets, schools, production facilities, bus stations, ports, airports, train stations, and on public transport.

For the Department of Health, the provincial leaders requested to direct medical examination and treatment facilities to urgently tighten screening and triage according to the instructions in Official Dispatch 1385/BCDQG dated March 19, 2020. Organize an assessment of the set of criteria for hospitals/clinics to be safe in preventing and fighting Covid-19 according to Decision 3088/QD-BYT dated July 16, 2020 and No. 4999/QD-BYT dated December 1, 2020.
Strengthen screening measures and prescribe early SARS-CoV-2 testing for patients and medical staff with suspected symptoms, including cases with unclear epidemiological history, for early detection and timely isolation. Review medical facilities with the capacity to perform SARS-CoV-2 testing; Conduct appraisal and submit to the Ministry of Health for consideration and decision according to current regulations.
Resolutely and effectively implement measures to protect medical staff and prevent Covid-19 infection in medical examination and treatment facilities. Conduct inspections, reviews, and supplement necessary resources to ensure adequate conditions for patient admission at medical care facilities. Implement the motto of detecting where, treating there, minimizing referrals. Urgently implement the direction of the Ministry of Health in Official Dispatch No. 97/CD-BYT dated January 29, 2021 on drastically strengthening measures to prevent and control Covid-19 infection in medical examination and treatment facilities.
The Provincial Border Guard Command presides over and coordinates with the People's Committees of localities along the border lines to strengthen control of illegal immigrants and strictly implement quarantine monitoring measures according to regulations, especially during the Lunar New Year and the 15th day of the first lunar month.
The Provincial Military Command is responsible for continuing to inspect, review, and consolidate facilities, and complete the entire management framework at centralized quarantine facilities according to the direction of the Ministry of National Defense and the Provincial People's Committee for implementation when required. Develop a plan to be ready to expand centralized quarantine areas in the province when necessary. Count the number of citizens in centralized medical quarantine areas during the Lunar New Year (from January 11 to February 13), and report to the Provincial Steering Committee.

The provincial police directed functional forces and district police to coordinate with localities in inspecting and monitoring subjects from abroad and the province, and take strict measures to handle illegal immigrants according to the law. Strengthen inspection of the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures, and strictly handle violations.
The Department of Education and Training reviews and inspects epidemic prevention plans at educational institutions in the province. Requests to supplement and complete necessary facilities to serve epidemic prevention work to ensure compliance with regulations.
