Nghe An aims for a serious, safe, and regulated high school graduation exam
(Baonghean.vn) - Tomorrow (June 28), along with more than 1 million candidates nationwide, nearly 37,000 candidates from Nghe An will officially enter the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. In recent days, exam preparations have been carefully organized by the exam sites.
Over the past few days, exam preparations have been carefully organized by exam sites to ensure a serious, safe, and well-regulated exam with the highest results.
Prepare all conditions for the High School Graduation Exam
Nearly a week before the official exam took place, the Department of Education and Training established 4 delegations to inspect the exam preparation work at 70 exam sites across the province. In addition to checking the facilities and candidate records, the Department of Education and Training also believes that the inspection must be substantial and serious. If any exam site is not well prepared, they will be reminded or a record will be made to avoid mistakes during the implementation of the task.
Nghi Loc High School 5 has more than 300 candidates taking the exam this year. Before the Department's inspection team arrived, the school had established an internal inspection team to review the exam preparations from facilities, candidate records as well as assign tasks to each member. In addition, the school has also developed plans to prevent unusual situations.

The peculiarity of our school is that there are quite a few candidates from far away in the two districts of Yen Thanh and Do Luong, 15-20 km away from the school. Therefore, before the exam, we require homeroom teachers to regularly contact parents and candidates, reminding candidates to arrive at the exam site 20-30 minutes in advance to avoid any problems. During the exam days, the school's volunteer student team will be present at the exam sites to support candidates.
This year, the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities also has more than 200 candidates taking the exam. Due to its own characteristics, these candidates are currently staying at the school until the exam ends. In preparation for the High School Graduation Exam, in addition to doing a good job of preparing facilities and human resources, the school also pays special attention to taking care of the health of candidates before and during the exam.
Since the time students have been studying for the exam, the school and some benefactors have regularly supported candidates with milk and other foods to improve their health. During the exam days, we have asked the kitchen to create a separate menu to enhance nutrition for candidates. Candidates whose parents come to support will also be arranged by the school to stay in the dormitory with their children if requested. During the exam period, the school also rented a hall at a hotel near the school for parents to wait, avoiding the heat...
Meanwhile, at the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education this year, the center has more than 500 candidates registered to take the exam at the exam sites of Le Viet Thuat High School and Vinh University High School for the Gifted, so although they do not have to prepare facilities, the school pays special attention to the psychology and preparation of the candidates.
Speaking about this, teacher Dang Thi Tu Linh - Director of the Center said: In the 2022 exam, we had a candidate who studied very well but accidentally overslept, leading to missing the high school graduation exam. Therefore, this year, we thoroughly informed each class that teachers must pay attention to each candidate. If any candidate has difficulties, they need to report to the school to have a plan to help, not allowing candidates to miss the exam for any reason.

In fact, the inspection teams ofDepartment of Education and TrainingAs well as the inspection of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Examination also showed that the examination preparation work at 70 examination sites in the province was carried out seriously, in accordance with regulations. However, to avoid unnecessary mistakes, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long requested that examination sites and officers in charge of invigilation, inspection and security at examination sites must uphold their responsibilities during the implementation process. In addition, it is necessary to not be subjective, and to strictly follow the regulations of the 2023 High School Graduation Exam.
Before an important exam with the participation of nearly 37,000 candidates, the exam sites should pay attention to creating a comfortable mindset for candidates. This year, according to the reports of the exam sites, at the exam sites of Yen Thanh 2 High School and Nghi Loc 3 High School, there were candidates who had accidents before the exam and could not take the exam normally. Therefore, before the exam, the Department of Education and Training requested the exam sites to organize separate exam rooms and arrange for support departments according to regulations to help candidates during the exam. Before the exam, the schools also visited the candidates' families to visit, encourage and guide the procedures so that candidates would not be confused when entering the exam room.
The results of the exam are a "measure" of quality assessment.
In recent days, the weather in many localities in Nghe An province has been continuously hot. However, all schools in the province have organized review sessions for candidates until the exam date. In addition, many teachers are willing to teach extra classes and tutor weak students for free with the goal of 100% of students passing the exam.
At the province's Continuing Education Center No. 2, teacher Nguyen Huu Son - a math teacher said: Compared to many other units, the students' abilities in our school are limited. Therefore, teachers and students try even harder, encouraging each other to reach the finish line successfully. In the last days, we focus on correcting the questions, correcting every small mistake for the students. In addition to studying in class, teachers are also willing to stay until 7 or 8 pm to help students review their lessons.

At the Vinh City Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, although the number of students at the school who did not register for university entrance exams was quite large, teachers were not complacent. To achieve the goal of passing the graduation exam, the school organized many mock exams, analyzed each exam, and each candidate's limitations. For nearly 90 students with average and weak academic performance, the school organized a meeting with their parents to ask them to accompany the school in the process of reviewing for them at home. The school also opened 2 additional classes to teach these students separately.
Across the province, the High School Graduation Exam is of interest to all schools because it is a "measure" to assess the quality of students, so that schools can do a good job of "quality assessment and evaluation" according to previous commitments. In this exam, Nghe An also set a goal of raising the ranking by 2 levels compared to the 2022 exam, so not only in the last month but also before that, schools have accelerated and made efforts to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Nghe An has prepared the best conditions for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. With the participation of all levels, sectors and localities, I believe that the exam will take place seriously, safely, in accordance with regulations and with good results, accurately assessing the capacity of each candidate and each school.
In 2023, Nghe An has 36,889 candidates participating in the High School Graduation Exam at 70 exam sites. The whole province has 1,669 exam rooms, including 71 waiting rooms. The exam mobilized 5,864 officials to invigilate and serve the exam, including 3,843 officials to invigilate and monitor exam sites. The exam will take place on June 28 and 29.
