Mr. Nguyen Dinh Anh - Vice Chairman of Quynh Lap Commune People's Committee also said that the commune has nearly 500 fishing boats and is currently implementing measures to call on boats to urgently return to port to anchor and avoid storms safely.
Quynh Luu still has 25 ships and boats that cannot be contacted.In Quynh Luu district, after receiving the telegram from the Provincial People's Committee, the District People's Committee coordinated with Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station to call on ships to come ashore.

Quynh Luu is a district with a large fleet of nearly 1,200 boats, including more than 700 offshore fishing boats. According to data from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quynh Luu district, as of 10:00 a.m. today (July 3), about 80% of Quynh Luu fishermen's boats have returned to shore to take shelter safely; of which 44 boats are anchored in Quang Binh, 2 in Quang Tri, 1 in Da Nang, 15 in Hue and 2 in Binh Dinh.

However, 25 vessels are still uncontactable (including 24 vessels from Quynh Nghia and 1 vessel from Quynh Tho). Currently, the authorities are continuing to contact and call on the remaining 25 fishing vessels at sea to return to shore as soon as possible.

Fisherman Tran Van Hoa in Quyet Thanh hamlet, Dien Bich commune said: Hearing on the radio that storm number 2 was likely to hit Nghe An, since last night (July 2), he brought his boat back to the dock, carefully tied the ropes to avoid collision.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Dien Ngoc Commune People's Committee, the Commune's Flood and Storm Prevention Steering Committee has been assigned to vulnerable hamlets and Lach Van Port to guide fishermen against the storm. 6 ships are ready to respond to search and rescue at sea.
In the shrimp farming areas of Dien Trung, Dien Thinh, Dien Van communes with more than 100 hectares, local authorities and people have also come up with protection plans. Farmers prepare thick mesh nets around the ponds when the water rises to prevent shrimp from escaping. Some households with shrimp ready to harvest proactively pull them earlier to ensure safety.

According to forecasts, storm number 2 is moving ashore. In the next 12 hours, the storm will move in a West-Northwest direction, traveling 10-15 km per hour and is likely to strengthen.
In the next 12 - 24 hours, the storm will move in the West Northwest direction, traveling 10 - 15 km per hour, making landfall in the provinces from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh with strong winds of level 7 - 8, gusting to level 10, then gradually weakening into a tropical depression.
At 10:00 a.m. on July 4, the center of the tropical depression was on the mainland along the coast of the provinces from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 - 7 (40 - 50 km/h), gusting to level 9.
In the next 24 - 36 hours, the tropical depression will move in the West Northwest direction, traveling about 15 km per hour and continue to weaken into a low pressure area over the mountainous and midland areas of the North.
