Nghe An disinfects and hands over 20 provincial quarantine areas due to lack of people

On April 22, Colonel Duong Minh Hien - Deputy Commander of Nghe An Provincial Military Command said that the army has completed the disinfection and cleaning of the quarantine areas to return them to the units. Nghe An has 28 centralized quarantine facilities at the provincial level, some of which were requisitioned from schools, so the disinfection work was carried out thoroughly, right after the last citizens left the quarantine areas to prepare for students expected to return to school in the next few days.

"We disinfected and cleaned twice. Once after all citizens left and once before handing it over to the units," said Colonel Duong Minh Hien.

Along with the disinfection work to return these facilities, Nghe An province also retained 8 quarantine areas that used to be military barracks and old committee headquarters. This is to prepare for the upcoming period, in case the border gates are opened, citizens returning from abroad.

As of April 22, Nghe An province only had 75 people left in quarantine and monitoring to prevent the epidemic. Of these, 40 people were quarantined at home, 15 were quarantined at the district level, and 20 were quarantined and treated at the hospital. Currently, the entire provincial quarantine area is empty after nearly 7,000 people were given certificates of completion of quarantine and their test results showed negative for Covid-19.

Up to now, Nghe An has taken samples from 7,481 people, of which 7,477 people tested negative for Covid-19, 4 others are waiting for results.
