Mr. Phan Van Binh, a resident of Hamlet 1, Nghia Thuan Commune (Thai Hoa Town) was upset: "We, the people, support the State in upgrading the road, but the construction unit must have a solution to reduce road dust pollution for the people. For more than a month now, the construction unit has not had any solution to prevent dust, causing vehicles participating in traffic to stir up road dust like smoke, and the wind blows into the house. Sometimes the weather is hot and dry, the wind blows strongly, we have to bring water to spray to reduce the dust, but because of the large number of cars passing by, it is like "a drop in the ocean". Mr. Phan Hai Chau - Deputy Head of the Project Management Board of Public Capital (Department of Transport) said: Currently, the construction unit is upgrading the road section from km 20 to km 33 on National Highway 48, the section through Nghia Thuan commune - Thai Hoa town. It is inevitable that people living on both sides of that road section will be affected by the environment due to road dust. To limit road dust pollution for people, there is no other way but for the Department of Transport to direct the construction unit to shorten the construction time and spread asphalt in a rolling manner. According to the schedule, the construction time of this road section is deployed from October to December 30, 2019. Graphics: Quang An |
