Nghe An: Promoting community tourism spots in the West
(Baonghean.vn) - The community tourism model is being invested in and developed in 5 mountainous districts in the West of Nghe An, increasingly attracting tourists. The tourism industry continues to survey and evaluate to propose a plan to expand community tourism products in the two districts of Quy Hop and Ky Son.
The first community tourism model supported by UNESCO was built in Nua village, Yen Thanh village, Xieng village and Khe Ran village (Con Cuong) along with the implementation of the project to conserve and develop the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve at Pu Mat National Park, since 2006.

Up to now, the community tourism model has been replicated in a number of villages in 5 districts in the West such as: Ban Nua, Ban Pha, Ban Khe Ran (Con Cuong); Ban Hoa Tien (Quy Chau), Ban Minh Thai (Tan Ky), Ban Lau, Ban Mac, Ban Quang Phuc (Tuong Duong), Ban Na Xai, Ban Hua Muong (Que Phong).
Destinations are focused on investment in construction and organizing activities in the form of homestays. At the same time, localities proactively connect with travel agencies, thanks to which the number of visitors to community tourism destinations is increasing, especially international visitors.

With these positive signals, in the coming time, the tourism industry will continue to survey and evaluate to propose a plan to expand community tourism products in the 5 districts that are being implemented and open more destinations in the two districts of Quy Hop and Ky Son./.
