Nghe An: Temporarily suspending passenger transport routes for the entire South and 5 additional routes to the North

Accordingly, Nghe An Department of Transport added the suspension of inter-provincial passenger transport activities including: fixed-route buses, taxis, contracted vehicles, tourist vehicles, from Nghe An to the provinces and cities: Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh and all southern provinces and cities from July 19 until further notice.

For intra-provincial passenger transport activities from Vinh City to districts and towns and vice versa, they are licensed to operate again, except for localities that are implementing social distancing according to the regulations.Directive No.16of the Prime Minister.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Head of the Transportation Department, Nghe An Department of Transport, in addition to adding to the list of localities that must temporarily suspend passenger transport to and from Nghe An, the Department also requires transport businesses to strictly implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to the documents issued by the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province.

In addition, passenger transport businesses by car are only allowed to operate no more than 50% of the number of vehicles of the unit. Each trip is only allowed to transport passengers with a maximum of no more than 50% of the seats and no more than 20 people including the driver and assistant. As for sleeper buses, which are arranged with 2 rows of beds on both sides and all beds have curtains, they are allowed to carry the number of passengers according to the design.

Supplementing the suspension of passenger transport from Nghe An to and from provinces and cities:

3. Son La

4. Hai Phong

5. Nam Dinh

And all southern provinces and cities.
