Nghe An sets up 8 centralized quarantine points at the provincial level to prevent Covid-19 in phase 2
(Baonghean.vn) - 8 centralized quarantine points at the provincial level can quarantine 2,000 citizens returning from epidemic areas or having factors related to the epidemic. In addition to these 8 quarantine points, districts, cities, and towns will set up additional district-level quarantine points.

On April 20, 2020, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 209/KH-UBND on Organizing Phase 2 Concentrated Quarantine Reception Points in Nghe An Province. Accordingly, Nghe An organizes 8 concentrated quarantine points (nearly 2,000 citizens quarantined), including:
+Quarantine Point No. 1 at Regiment 764(No. 160, Tue Tinh Street, Yen Son Block, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 300 people.
+Quarantine point No. 2 at Campus 1, Nghe An Pedagogical College(Hung Loc commune, Vinh city), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 350 people.
+Quarantine point No. 3 at the old barracks of Nam Dan District Military Command(Dong Phong hamlet, Xuan Hoa commune, Nam Dan district), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 180 people.
+Quarantine point No. 4 at the old barracks of Nghi Loc District Military Command(Block 1, Quan Hanh town), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 120 people.

+Quarantine point No. 6 at Pu Mat National Park Command(Tien Thanh village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 200 people.
+Quarantine point No. 7 at the old headquarters of Nghia Hoa Commune People's Committee(Block 3, Long Son ward, Thai Hoa town), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 150 people.
+Quarantine point No. 8 at the National Defense and Security Education Center of Vinh University(Hamlet 11, Nghi An Commune, Vinh City), the expected number of quarantined citizens is 500 people (reserve).
In addition to the 8 centralized quarantine points at the provincial level mentioned above, districts, cities and towns will continue to survey and select backup quarantine points such as the old headquarters of the People's Committees of the merged communes, headquarters of agencies and organizations that are not used regularly to be ready to receive centralized quarantine. The organization of quarantine ensures the principles of stability, sustainability and long-term.

The issuance of the plan by the People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize the second phase of centralized quarantine reception points in Nghe An province is very timely, responding to the epidemic situation. Specifically, Directive No. 06/TTg dated March 29, 2020 of the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR on strengthening measures to prevent infection, control and prepare to fight the Covid-19 epidemic will expire after May 3. It is very likely that many Vietnamese citizens in Laos and Thailand will continue to return home to avoid the epidemic...
According to statistics, as of the afternoon of April 22, Laos had 19 cases, Thailand had 2,811 cases, and there were 48 deaths due to Covid-19.
