Nghe An: Highlights September 24

*SOn September 24, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chairedregular meeting of the Provincial People's CommitteeSeptember 2020. The meeting was held online at 21 locations in districts, cities and towns.

In the third quarter of 2020, there were two major issues: the Covid-19 pandemic re-emerged, the number of infections in the community was very large, and localities held grassroots Party Congresses. However, the task of socio-economic development was not interrupted.

Regarding the direction and solutions for the last 3 months of the year, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the 12 groups of tasks that the Department of Planning and Investment presented at the meeting. At the same time, he emphasized 7 more tasks and solutions and requested departments, branches and localities to pay attention to implementing them well.

In mid-October, the Provincial Party Committee will hold the 19th Congress, emphasizing that this is a political event of great significance, calling on all levels and sectors to strive and take drastic actions to achieve the highest goals of the targets and plans for 2020, contributing to the implementation of the 5-year plan 2016-2020. This is a meaningful achievement to welcome the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

*CAlso in the regular meeting in September, members of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments and branchesunanimously approvedDraft Decision on Promulgating the Regulations on coordination in local government debt management in Nghe An province; draft Project "Social science research, summarizing practices, building scientific arguments for leaders and policies of Party committees and authorities to promote the integration process in Nghe An in the period of 2020-2025 and vision to 2030"; draft Resolution on support policies for building cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level in Nghe An province by 2025 and draft Report on assessing the impact of the policy of rewarding cultural titles in the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in Nghe An province in the period of 2021-2025".

In particular, the Provincial People's Committee has agreed on specific policies and mechanisms to support Nam Dan district in the period of 2021-2025. Accordingly, the People's Committee agreed to allow Nam Dan district to enjoy 100% of the land use rights auction money in the period of 2021-2025, divided according to the following ratio: district 70%; communes and towns 30%; Support 15,000 tons of cement in 5 years in the period of 2021-2025 for Nam Dan district to build a model New Rural district.

*NOn September 24, National Assembly deputies: Nguyen Thanh Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An and Nguyen Van Chi - Member of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee met with voters of Dien Dong, Dien Lien, Dien Thai, and Dien Xuan communes (Dien Chau district).

At the meeting, many voters reflected and proposed issues related to people's lives that needed to be addressed by all levels and sectors. National Assembly deputies explained a number of issues within their jurisdiction and summarized voters' opinions to submit to all levels and sectors for consideration and resolution.

*NOn September 24, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, and the provincial working delegation visitedvisit and give gifts to officers and soldiersPhuc Son Border Guard Station in Anh Son district.

*SOn September 24, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee organizedSummary ConferenceSummer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2020. After 2 months of implementing the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2020, Nghe An youth with the spirit of volunteerism, participated in implementing meaningful projects and tasks in localities.

On this occasion, the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 groups and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign, Green March, Pink Vacation, Red Flamboyant Flower and Exam Support Campaign. The People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the 2020 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. The Provincial Youth Union also awarded many groups and individuals with high achievements in the summer volunteer campaign.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union also awarded prizes to outstanding individuals in the program "Steps for the community"; awarded the 4th Creative Startup Project for Rural Youth in 2020.

*BDespite difficulties caused by Covid-19, Nghe An has more than 9,000New car registration. Nghe An province authorities said that in the first 9 months of 2020, Nghe An province had 9,082 newly registered cars, an increase of more than 300 cars compared to the same period last year. Authorities completed procedures to transfer ownership and re-issue registration for 2,302 cars; 2,464 cars were transferred out and 2,902 cars were transferred in.

Vinh is one of the cities with many cars in Vietnam.

*SSeptember 24, Hoang Mai Town Police, Nghe An Provinceemergency arrestand temporarily detained Hoang Van Hung (born 1992), residing in Phuong Hong block, Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town to investigate the act of murder.

The victim of the incident was Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen (born in 1993), Hung's wife, who was killed on the morning of September 24 at her home. According to local authorities, the young couple had three children. Hung was a fisherman who made his living by going to sea, so every time the boat docked, the "drinking spirit" arose in him and he often tortured his wife after acts of jealousy. The climax was early this morning, Ms. Tuyen was stabbed many times in the stomach and head, lost blood, and died later.
