According to a source from Nghe An Newspaper, in the early morning of April 3, a 7-seat car driven by a man residing in Lao Cai province was traveling on National Highway 1A from Vinh City to Hanoi. When it reached Hoang Mai town, it was stopped at a toll station to buy a ticket when it was stopped by the police.
At that time, there was only the driver in the car. Checking the car, the authorities discovered nearly 230 kg of various drugs.
According to sources from Nghe An Newspaper, this arrest is part of a major drug case, led by the Ministry of Public Security and the Border Guard Command, in coordination with Nghe An Provincial Police and Nghe An Border Guard Command. This vehicle originated from a border commune of Thanh Chuong District.
