Nghe An: Highlights on February 7

*On the morning of February 7, 21 districts, cities and towns in Nghe An province simultaneously held military enlistment ceremonies. In 2023, Nghe An province was assigned by the Government and the Ministry of National Defense to call 3,102 citizens to join the army and hand them over to 16 military units (7 units of the Ministry and 9 units of Military Region 4). In Vinh city,leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committeeencourage and send off 144 city citizens to join the army.

*In Quynh Luu district,attend the farewell ceremony for young men leaving for military serviceThere were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Major General Phan Van Sy - Deputy Chief of Politics, Military Region 4; and leaders of the Provincial Military Command, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province. In this year's military recruitment, Quynh Luu district has 281 young men who meet the standards of political qualities, ethics, cultural level, and health and are assigned to military units.

*In Dien Chau district, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung, leaders of units, military branches and a large number of peopleattend the military handover ceremony, congratulations to the new recruits. In 2023, Dien Chau district will recruit 307 young men according to the assigned quota; of which, 285 citizens will perform military service and 22 young men will perform police service.

*The authorities of Nghia Binh commune, Tan Ky district (Nghe An) confirmed that the accident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on February 7, at Km 671 on Ho Chi Minh road, passing through hamlet 6, Nghia Binh commune.The collision occurred between a car and a truck.As a result, the bus attendant, Mr. NCT (born 2003), residing in Nghia Thai commune, Tan Ky district, died on the spot, 1 passenger was seriously injured and is being taken to Vinh city for emergency treatment. The bus and truck were severely damaged.
