*On the morning of August 9, under the chairmanship of comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council,The Provincial Party Executive Committee held a thematic meetingcomment on the draft Report summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on directions and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020.

*Also on the morning of August 9, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organizedConference to give opinions on the draft Project to expand administrative boundariesand urban space of Vinh city, Nghe An province. Accordingly, the expanded Vinh city will merge the entire administrative boundaries of the current Cua Lo town and 6 communes of Nghi Loc district including: Nghi Thach, Nghi Xuan, Nghi Phong, Phuc Tho, Nghi Thai and Khanh Hop.

*The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 05/CD-BCH onResponding to Storm No. 2. According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the afternoon of August 9, the tropical depression strengthened into a storm, storm number 2 in 2022, with the international name MULAN. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move north, then possibly change direction to the northwest, traveling 15-20km per hour and is likely to strengthen further.

*Morning of August 9, in Yen Hop commune (Quy Hop district)serious crime occurredkilling 1 person and injuring 2 others. According to initial information, at around 6am the same day, Mac Van Duc (born in 1990, residing in Yen Hop commune, Quy Hop district) had just returned from working far away, showing signs of mental instability, used a knife to slash his parents, injuring them, and a neighbor died on the spot.
