Nghe An organizes Buddha's birthday celebration in 2024
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of May 19 (April 12 of the lunar calendar), at Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province held the Buddha's birthday celebration in 2024 - Buddhist year 2568.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and Nam Dan district.
On behalf of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province, there were Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Head of the Central Cultural Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province, along with Venerable monks, senior monks, monks, nuns, and Buddhists.

The message clearly states: Buddha's Birthday, or the Three-Day Festival - commemorating the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and Nirvana, is an occasion to review together the noble life, the teachings of selflessness, altruism, love and wisdom, which are not only a source of comfort but also offer practical solutions to transform personal suffering, creating a peaceful environment for all living beings.

Presenting the Buddha's birthday speech, Venerable Thich Minh Hai - Chief of Office of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee emphasized: The Buddha's birthday season of Buddhist calendar 2568 - Gregorian calendar 2024 is taking place jubilantly everywhere in the country, from pagodas in remote villages, or island and mountainous areas of the remote border of the Fatherland to the bustling urban areas to pray for world peace, national prosperity, favorable weather, people's well-being and happiness; pray for Buddhism to last forever, to be sustainable forever.

On this occasion, the representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha hopes that monks, nuns and Buddhists in localities in the province will have many creative and practical Buddhist activities to celebrate the important events of the nation and of Vietnamese Buddhism and respond to the call in the Message of the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, with specific plans and actions to actively participate in programs and patriotic emulation movements in the locality.
