Nghe An: Awarding certificates to 4 typical national rural industrial products

On the morning of December 10, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organizedNational online conference on industrial promotion workand awarded the certificate of national typical rural industrial products in 2021.

Attending the conference, at the Hanoi bridge point were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, representatives of relevant ministries and branches. At the Nghe An bridge point, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired.

In the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has negatively impacted all aspects of socio-economic life, including the production and business activities of the business community and rural industrial establishments.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, in order to create the most favorable conditions for enterprises and IT establishments to both respond to the epidemic and restore production and business, the 2021 National Industrial Promotion Program prioritizes supporting projects/tasks that need to be promptly implemented to help enterprises and IT establishments in areas affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

Accordingly, the focus is on the following contents: Supporting the application of advanced machinery in production, helping enterprises and IT establishments maintain production and circulation of goods, contributing to preventing supply chain disruptions and export disruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic; supporting the construction of technical demonstration models to popularize new technologies or produce new products. Accordingly, the total industrial promotion budget in 2021 of the whole country is 338 billion VND, of which the national industrial promotion budget plan is 150 billion VND, the local industrial promotion budget plan is 188 billion VND.

Particularly for the content of voting for typical rural industrial products, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has paid attention and directed strongly. Accordingly, participating in the fourth national voting for typical rural industrial products are 310 products from 58/63 provinces and cities; the products are diverse in design and type, especially in the group of processing agricultural, forestry and fishery products.

In this voting period,Nghe An has 4 productsRecognized as typical national rural industrial products in 2021 include: DP 630 and DP 640 lanterns, Spirulina Michio algae, automatic steel belt bending machine, 559 Quynh Luu fish sauce.

At the conference, representatives of ministries, branches and localities focused on discussing and pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in industrial promotion work; at the same time, discussed and proposed solutions to implement key tasks of industrial promotion work in 2022.

Accordingly, the key task is identified as supporting enterprises, cooperatives and business households in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic through the following activities: Supporting the construction of technical demonstration models, applying advanced machinery to production; vocational training according to the needs of establishments, solving employment for workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic migrating to rural areas; supporting the development of rural industrial products; enhancing consulting activities, information assistance, improving production capacity to adapt to the context of the Covid-19 pandemic for rural industrial establishments.

In 2021, Nghe An was allocated 4,500 million VND in local industrial promotion funding. Of which, the Department of Industry and Trade advised the Provincial People's Committee to approve funding (phase 1) for 21 projects with a total support budget of 1,641.13 million VND (reaching 36.47% of the plan).

Speaking at the conference,Comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of Department of Industry and Tradeemphasized: “Despite difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, industrial promotion work in Nghe An has been implemented vigorously and effectively. However, industrial promotion work still has certain limitations: The level of support from the national industrial promotion program is still low (an average of 1 billion VND per province), many industrial promotion policies are no longer suitable; management work is overlapping and lacks synchronization. Therefore, Nghe An proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the local Department of Industry and Trade increase the national industrial promotion funding source to support businesses, the content of the program to implement industrial promotion in the province; Support businesses and rural industrial establishments to access digital transformation…”.

On this occasion, authorized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa awarded certificates and trophies to 4 units with outstanding national rural industrial products in 2021; awarded Certificates of Merit of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to 2 collectives and 1 individual with outstanding achievements in industrial promotion work.
