Nghe An: Salvaging and safely destroying a bomb left over from the war
(Baonghean.vn) - At 12 noon on January 2, 2019, Mr. Dang Dinh Thanh - Hamlet 10, Da Son Commune, while fishing, discovered a bomb near the middle of Lam River in Hamlet 9, Da Son Commune (Do Luong, Nghe An). This is an American bomb left over from the war.

Immediately after the discovery, Mr. Thanh reported to the Commune Military Command. The Commune Military Command then coordinated with the District Military Command and the Engineering Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to organize guarding and implement safety measures.

By the morning of January 4, the province's engineering force, the District Military Command and the Da Son Commune Military Command coordinated with relevant departments and branches to salvage and transport the bomb to the Hong Son commune detonation site, and at the same time destroy it.
By 11:00 a.m. on January 4, the bomb had been safely destroyed by authorities.
