COMMENDING 9 GROUPS, 11 INDIVIDUALS, AWARDING 67 PRIZES

Pursuant to Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", Nghe An province has included the full-term and annual topics on studying and following Uncle Ho in programs, plans, campaigns and emulation movements.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department assessed: After 2 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo, many practical patriotic emulation movements in all areas of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, Party building and political system work have been carried out with an enthusiastic spirit and high determination, creating many positive results, contributing to promoting the development of the province in all aspects.

At the conference, 9 collectives and 11 typical individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Organizing Committee awarded the Prize for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the first phase, 2021 - 2025 to 67 authors and groups of authors with excellent quality works.

SELECT BREAKTHROUGH CONTENT AND TASKS TO IMPLEMENT

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee warmly congratulated the collectives, individuals and authors who won prizes and were commended.

“Uncle Ho taught us that a living example is more valuable than hundreds of propaganda speeches. The collectives and individuals honored today are those valuable “living examples”; the authors who won the award today are those who have made outstanding contributions to spreading the beauty of Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality, style and examples of learning and following Uncle Ho to the whole society,” the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed.

In order for the leadership, direction and implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the coming time to be more effective and spread more strongly, comrade Nguyen Van Thong emphasized a number of basic and directional issues.

First of all, Party committees at all levels and staff in implementing Directive 05 and Conclusion 01 of the Politburo need to promote the advantages and results achieved in the 2 years of implementing Conclusion 01, so that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style will help build a team of cadres and party members who are steadfast in theory, steadfast in ideals, imbued with revolutionary ethics; making Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style become the spiritual foundation and ethical standards of society.

“Studying and following Uncle Ho must help resolve bottlenecks that hinder development, resolve hot spots that cause resentment among the people, make life better and better, and make the people increasingly trust the Party, the regime and the path to socialism of our country,” comrade Nguyen Van Thong pointed out.

At the same time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requested to overcome the limitations in implementing Directive 05 and Conclusion 01 that Party committees at all levels and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee have pointed out; at the same time, closely following the goals set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the 19th Provincial Party Congress and Party congresses at all levels; especially to soon complete the goal of "striving to make Nghe An a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2025, and a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2030".

Accordingly, the Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requested that Party committees at all levels, in implementing Conclusion 01, continue to select breakthrough contents and tasks, bottlenecks, and hot issues to thoroughly resolve, especially issues, fields, and areas that have many pressing and prominent issues among the people; contributing to promoting the comprehensive development of the province.

In addition, it is necessary to associate with patriotic emulation movements, practice thrift, fight against waste, build new rural areas, build civilized urban areas, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, build culture, and people of Nghe An; fight and prevent moral degradation, lifestyle, and violations of the law among a number of cadres and party members. Build many new typical models associated with political and professional tasks and implement effectively to replicate throughout the province.

Respect the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially leaders of Party committees, agencies and units; carry out well the cultivation of personal ethics, set out standards of public ethics and professional ethics associated with the requirements of completing assigned tasks; must be truly close to the people, closely follow reality, and have a simple style;...

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong also suggested that Party committees and government leaders at all levels need to have a broad vision, creative thinking, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to face difficulties and challenges to create breakthroughs to build localities and units into "models" as Uncle Ho always wished.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee proposed that after this conference, Party committees at all levels focus on implementing the 2023 Special Topic "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on culture and building a new socialist culture to meet the requirements of integration and development" which was approved by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and released on the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

The Organizing Committee of the Award will continue to accept entries from now until November 15, 2024 and will hold an award ceremony on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 2025).
