Nghe An promotes energy saving in households

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 15, Nghe An Energy Conservation Center chaired and coordinated with Yen Thanh Electricity and Lang Thanh Commune Women's Union to organize a contest to propagate energy saving and grid safety in households in 2020.

The contest took place with the participation of all agencies, organizations and individuals in Lang Thanh commune (Yen Thanh). The 3 competing teams had to go through 3 rounds: Greeting, multiple choice and talent.

The content of the contest revolves around legal regulations on the Program for economical and efficient use of energy and basic knowledge about energy; Propaganda and mobilization skills for agencies, units and people to raise awareness of energy saving to contribute to ensuring national energy security; Introducing solutions, models and initiatives for effective electricity saving and the use of clean energy sources and alternative energy.

At the same time, honor typical and outstanding collectives and individuals in practicing energy saving, and criticize wasteful manifestations in energy use.

The contest aims to raise awareness among households about saving energy and protecting the living environment by turning off unnecessary electrical appliances at home, as well as launching a movement to create solutions and initiatives on saving electricity and being environmentally friendly in the community.

Integrated in the contest sections are messages such as: "Saving electricity means saving family funds, business costs, state budget and national resources", "Saving electricity means protecting a sustainable environment for the future", "Using electricity correctly: in the right way, at the right time, in the right place"... to help households maintain habits and form a lifestyle of saving electricity and energy.

Through the contest, in addition to familiar waste-avoidance habits such as turning off the lights when leaving the room, setting the air conditioner to 25 degrees or higher... family members also have more knowledge about using household electrical appliances with labels certifying energy-saving products, high energy efficiency devices, energy-saving devices such as LED lights, inverter technology energy-saving devices...
