(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An requested to stop visiting patients at medical facilities and temporarily suspend operations at private clinics in the area.

On the morning of April 1, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that the unit has just issued an urgent document on the implementation of Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister. The document was sent to districts, cities, towns, and public and non-public medical units located in the area.

Nghe An Department of Health requires heads of agencies and units, based on their functions and tasks, to be responsible for developing plans to arrange for people to work directly at the agency and manage those who work online at home.

Hospitals, medical centers, and health stations must arrange appropriate human resources to ensure full implementation of the tasks of examining, caring for, and treating patients. In other cases, work from home plans must be implemented. Implement management procedures to avoid cross-infection in medical examination and treatment facilities. Strictly control and require mandatory medical declarations for patients, relatives, and caregivers. Each patient is only allowed one caregiver. Stop visiting patients at medical facilities. Have strict regulations on patient admission, do not let one individual get infected, affecting the operation of the entire medical facility.

In addition, the Nghe An Department of Health also requested the Center for Disease Control and District Health Centers to temporarily suspend all vaccination activities (except rabies and tetanus vaccination) for 15 days, starting from April 1.

According to the leader of Nghe An Department of Health, the unit also requested that private clinics in the area temporarily close to prevent the epidemic. Specifically, according to the document, "for non-public medical facilities and medical services, all medical examination and treatment activities and medical services (except hospitals) must be temporarily suspended within 15 days from April 1. The People's Committees of districts, cities and towns shall notify, implement and be responsible for supervision".
