The fire broke out at around 11:10 a.m. on October 18. At the time of the fire, no one was home. Ms. Luong Thi Hong and her husband were at work, the children were at school, and the door was closed.
Seeing smoke rising, the villagers called the people around to help put out the fire. However, because the neighbors were all at work at that time, only the elderly and children were home, it was difficult to put out the fire. In just a moment, the fire burned down the 2-room wooden house and the kitchen.
At the scene, items such as blankets, mattresses, and bedding were burned black; electrical wires were lying around. The total damage to Ms. Hong’s family was estimated at more than 60 million VND.
