Nghe An people hand over monkey to Pu Mat National Park
(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of raising a monkey, a household in Do Luong decided to return the animal to the wild.
On the morning of January 30, through the connection of Nghe An Newspaper, a household in Da Son commune (Do Luong) handed over a monkey to the Pu Mat Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, located in Con Cuong district.

At the Animal Rescue and Conservation CenterferalPu Mat, the center's staff completed the procedures to receive a live, healthy monkey with documents and records according to regulations.

Mr. Vo Cong Anh Tuan - Head of Science and International Cooperation Department of Pu Mat National Park said that the Center is currently raising and caring for 45 animals voluntarily handed over by local people, including pangolins, bears, monkeys, gibbons, loris, turtles, pythons...

After receiving,Rescue Centerwill take care of the animal, help it get healthy, get used to the natural environment, check for diseases, then find a suitable forest area to release the animal back into the wild, contributing to the conservation and development of wild animals.
In 2020, the Center returned more than 100 individuals to nature, including pangolins, monkeys, otters, turtles... mainly handed over by people.
