Yen Thanh Water Plant strives to meet people's clean water needs
(Baonghean) - In order to best meet the needs of domestic water, production and business for people, Yen Thanh Water Plant (Nghe An) has implemented many synchronous solutions to increase service capacity, ensuring stable water supply during hot days.
Yen Thanh clean water factory was built in 2005, with a total investment of more than 40 billion VND, using quite modern and synchronous machinery and equipment, with a designed capacity of 2,000 m3/day and night. Currently, the Plant is providing clean water to over 7,000 customers in Yen Thanh town, Hoa Thanh, Van Thanh, Xuan Thanh, and Tang Thanh communes.
To ensure a stable supply of domestic water during the hot season, Yen Thanh Clean Water Plant regularly maintains its equipment and machinery systems, ensuring safety standards and the quality of water supplied to the market. This has reduced the rate of water loss, helping to improve people's health when using domestic water.

During the hot season from April to May, June, July, people's water demand is high, so some communes such as Xuan Thanh, Van Thanh experience local water shortages. To meet people's needs, Yen Thanh Water Plant has to pump 24/24 hours (divided into 3 shifts, 4 shifts); adding 2 more level 1 field pumps to pump more raw water for treatment, thus meeting the clean water demand of the people.

The representative of Yen Thanh Water Plant said: The current difficulty of Yen Thanh Water Plant is that the machine capacity is still small, the demand of households registering for more cannot be met. The plant has been invested in upgrading by Yen Thanh District People's Committee since 2018 from 2000 m3/day and night up to 5,000m3.
However, due to funding difficulties, the factory upgrade project is still under construction, and the factory's raw water reservoir is small compared to current demand. The Japanese-funded Northern Irrigation System Upgrade Project is currently under construction in the area, and at times the river has to be closed due to permission from the Provincial People's Committee, causing water shortages.

Providing clean water for people's daily life and business in Yen Thanh district is very important, especially in the hot season. The district will soon balance the investment capital of about 1.6 billion VND for the factory to complete the items for operation, meeting the clean water needs of people in the district.
