(Baonghean.vn) - On August 25, many organizations and individuals in the province carried out activities to give gifts and support essential goods to help forces and disadvantaged households in isolated and locked-down areas to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic.

Nghe An Police organized the giving away of 500 giftsare essential necessities to disadvantaged households in Vinh city.

Each gift set includes food and foodstuffs such as 10 kg of rice, eggs, vegetables, dried fish, etc. After gathering at the police headquarters of wards and communes in the city, police officers and soldiers in the areas coordinated with local authorities to go to each household to give the gifts to people. The main beneficiaries are families in difficult circumstances, families of the elderly, single people, workers, and freelancers who have difficulty when having to quit their jobs, etc.

In the morning, hundreds of gifts were directly delivered by Nghe An police officers to the people, promptly supporting those in difficult circumstances. At the same time, they also sent words of encouragement and motivation to the people to strictly implement social distancing with the spirit of "wherever you are, stay there" and try to strictly implement all regulations on epidemic prevention and control.

This is an activity demonstrating the concern and care for the people's lives of the police force in general, and the heart of each officer and soldier in Nghe An Police in particular sent to the people of Vinh city to join hands with the entire political system to resolutely repel the Covid-19 epidemic in the area.

To promptly encourage and boost the spirit of doctors, nurses and medical staff of the district, comrade Duong Hoang Vu presented gifts including: Milk, drinking water, masks and mouthwash. Although the gift was not large, it showed the government's concern for the frontline forces in epidemic prevention and control.

I hope the medical staff will maintain their health and safety, do a better job in preventing and fighting the epidemic and taking care of people's health. In particular, prepare to be ready to deploy Covid-19 vaccination for the entire population in the near future.

Van Thanh - Ba Chai

The entire amount of rice has been allocated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to the wards to deliver to people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the wards coordinate with organizations and unions to review and select the right beneficiaries to provide accurate and timely support to the people. In addition to supporting the above amount of rice for the people of the town, on this occasion, Mr. Hung's family also supported the Epidemic Prevention and Control Fund of Nghi Thuy Ward and Thu Thuy Ward, each ward with 10 million VND.

Duong Tan - Ngoc Anh

* Working group of Tan Ky districtinspected the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, the implementation of social distancing according to Directive 15 and gave gifts to the frontline medical forces fighting the epidemic in Tan Huong and Nghia Phuc communes.

In an exchange with the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in communes, the leader of Tan Ky District People's Committee requested localities to effectively carry out centralized quarantine for citizens returning from epidemic areas; the force in the framework must be on duty 24/7; and essential conditions must be ensured in the quarantine area for citizens. The leader of Tan Ky District People's Committee requested localities to strengthen propaganda work so that people can perform well; organize businesses in the area to sign commitments; promptly detect and strictly handle cases of violations.

On this occasion, the leaders of Tan Ky District People's Committee presented 5 million VND to the frontline medical staff of Tan Huong and Nghia Phuc communes. This amount was donated and supported by members of the District Social Policy Bank Representative Board. On the same day, Tan Ky District People's Committee also presented 10 million VND from the Provincial Social Policy Bank to the District Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund.

Nhu Lanh

* At Nghi Van Commune People's Committee (Nghi Loc), Mr. Le Viet Duyet (95 years old) in Nam Bo Son hamlet, Nghi Van commune, used a cane to go to the commune People's Committee to support the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic with an amount of 2 million VND.

Mr. Duyet expressed his concern for the anti-epidemic work of his commune, knowing that the number of people in medical quarantine in the commune is quite large, the frontline anti-epidemic forces are working very hard, so he wants to contribute and give the money he has saved to encourage the spirit of the cadres and people of his commune in fighting the epidemic.

Currently, Mr. Duyet and his wife are living with their son, Mr. Le Viet Trieu. Both of them are farmers and currently have no income. The old lady is 92 years old and has been in a wheelchair for 7 years due to paralysis. The 2 million VND that Mr. Duyet donated to the commune this morning to fight the epidemic is the amount of money he saved from his children and grandchildren for daily expenses.
