Previously, Nghi Loc District Police received a report that some people took advantage of deserted roads to block passenger buses on the Vinh City bypass to extort money.
This group of young men often drive motorbikes and cars with their license plates removed and masks on. If any bus company refuses to pay, they threaten them and prevent them from picking up passengers.
Upon receiving the information, Nghi Loc District Police began to verify and investigate. After a period of surveillance and ambush, at around 2:00 p.m. on February 22, the police discovered a group of young men chasing a Lam Dong-licensed passenger bus on the bypass.
When the car stopped to pick up passengers at the Vinh City bypass intersection, the group blocked the car and demanded that the driver give them money before letting them get on the car. To be safe, the car owner gave them 200,000 VND, but the group said it was too little and asked for more.

While the subjects were receiving the money, the police arrived and arrested them. At the scene, the police seized a car and a motorbike, which were the vehicles used by the group of young men to commit the crime.
At the investigation agency, this group of subjects confessed that because they did not have stable jobs, they invited each other to block cars to earn money for personal expenses.
