(Baonghean.vn) - “In the Central Park, there are many mounds of soil and rocks located close to the regulating lake. I don’t know what they are used for or for what purpose, but they have been there for many days. Heavy rain like the recent one has caused sedimentation in the regulating lake…” – Vinh city residents reported.

Conduct verification and there is an incident in Central Park that people have reported.

These mounds are located behind Ho Chi Minh Square, on the lawns below the Central Park lake perimeter. Some mounds are as high as low hills, causing unsightliness and leading to siltation of the lake bed during heavy rains.

According to an officer of Vinh City Urban Inspectorate, this situation has existed since around June 2019. At that time, when conducting an inspection, Trung Long Joint Stock Company reported that during the construction process, some works in the campus had dug up the soil and temporarily moved to this location. Therefore, the City Urban Inspectorate only reminded and requested Trung Long Joint Stock Company to move the waste soil soon.

The Urban Inspectorate officer said: “We will check again. If Trung Long Joint Stock Company has not moved the waste soil elsewhere, we will send a document requesting the Vinh City People's Committee to handle this issue. As the people have reported, the existence of the waste soil will cause the Central Park Lake to be silted up when there is heavy rain…”.
