On September 28, 3 people (2 Chinese men, 1 Vietnamese woman) came to the Thanh Chuong District Police Station to report that they had been robbed in Ngoc Son Commune, Thanh Chuong District in the early morning of September 27.

Of the three people who came to report, the woman named Tran Thi Tan acted as both the interpreter and the victim. The two Chinese men named Dam Trieu Nong and Ha My Cuong were the victims of the robbery.
Specifically, on the morning of September 27, when all three people got off the bus in Ngoc Son commune, Thanh Chuong district, a man sprayed alcohol-mixed paint in their faces and robbed them of a handbag containing 56,000 yuan (equivalent to 162 million VND).
After the investigation, the Thanh Chuong District Police Department clarified that Tan and a man named Thi (residing in Ngoc Son Commune, Thanh Chuong District) committed the above robbery.
After robbing the money, Tan and Thi met in Vinh City to divide the money. At the investigation agency, Tan confessed to only taking 10 million VND, giving the remaining amount to Thi to hold. After robbing the money, Tan used 5 million VND to pay off debts and spent 3 million VND on personal expenses.
The case has been transferred to the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) for further investigation according to authority, and at the same time organize the arrest of the remaining subjects of the case.
