After a short time of operation, it has quickly proven its efficiency in production and business and affirmed Do Luong as one of the key areas of the cement production industry in Nghe An; Minh Anh Garment Factory Project (Quang Son commune) attracts 3,500 workers and the factory's products are the production and processing of pants and shirts for the domestic market, exporting tens of millions of products/year...

Not only attracting many investment projects from large corporations, Do Luong also always creates favorable conditions for local enterprises to develop and affirm their brands in the provincial market, typically Tuong An Company Limited in Thinh Son commune.

Do Luong currently has more than 2,540 industrial and handicraft production establishments in operation, creating jobs for 12,266 workers. In recent years, through investment capital sources (from the higher budget and actively mobilizing local resources), the district has boldly invested in building, renovating and upgrading social and civil works, economic infrastructure and key traffic works; completed and put into use many projects in the fields of irrigation, education, health, offices, cultural works, lighting systems, communications, urban infrastructure; accelerated the pace of urbanization.

In addition to the Green Garden Urban Area and Cau Dau Dyke Residential Area, the district is currently focusing resources on investing in the construction of technical infrastructure and social infrastructure systems for new urban areas and residential areas, such as: The Southern Town Urban Area has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for detailed planning at a scale of 1/500; New residential areas in Dong Son and Tan Son communes; Do Luong town has been recognized as a type V urban area and is building a master plan for Do Luong town to meet the standards of a type IV urban area.

The work of planning management, construction permit issuance and post-construction permit inspection has been strengthened; the work of basic construction management with new policies in bidding and contractor selection has saved the state billions of dong; the site clearance of key projects and works has been well implemented to hand over the site to contractors and investors.

According to statistics of Do Luong district: The total added value of industry and construction increased from 1,263.74 billion VND in 2015 to 2,700.23 billion VND in 2020. The average growth rate in the period 2015-2020 reached 16.40%. The total development investment capital in the period 2015-2020 in the area reached over 30,000 billion VND. The proportion of industry and construction increased from 26.62% in 2015 to 32.85% in 2020 and the proportion of services increased from 46.61% in 2015 to 49.56% in 2020. The average added value per capita is expected to reach 55.98 million VND by the end of 2020, an increase of 25.73 million VND compared to 2015.

The district is continuing to prioritize investment and promote the implementation of key projects and works according to the development orientation for the period 2020 - 2025; actively attracting capital sources to invest in the construction of urgent infrastructure in the area.

Continue to rapidly develop industry and handicrafts towards improving quality, competitiveness and industrialization and modernization. Effectively exploit the district's advantages in terms of location, resources, labor and environment. Accelerate investment promotion to build industrial cluster infrastructure to attract investment. Implement industrial promotion well, encourage the development of small and medium enterprises, attract rural laborers to industrial and handicraft production. Pay attention to developing small and medium-sized handicrafts; maintain and develop traditional occupations, create unique, high-quality products from local raw materials.

Developing the service industry closely linked to the development of other economic sectors, improving service quality; encouraging and facilitating economic sectors to participate in investment. Implementing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, contributing to creating conditions for the development of stable and effective businesses.
