(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 24, the delegation of Nghe An province led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families in Quynh Luu district.

Also participating in the provincial delegation were comrade Doan Hong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, leaders of the Provincial Military Command and Quynh Luu district.
Visiting and presenting gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Hien in Hamlet 8, Quynh Hau Commune, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son and the delegation kindly asked about her health and expressed gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of her and her family for national independence and reunification.

Mother Nguyen Thi Hien is 97 years old this year. She had two children who died in the resistance war against the US to save the country and in international missions in Laos. She currently lives with her youngest son, Mr. Le Minh Trong. She is a shining example of sacrifice and determination for her children to follow.
The provincial delegation also visited seriously wounded soldier Le Minh Chinh in hamlet 3, Quynh Hau commune.
Mr. Chinh joined the Army in 1972 and was injured in 1975 in Rach Gia, Kien Giang with a disability of over 91%. Due to the injury, he lost all vision in his right eye and his left eye had 2/10 vision left; he could not hear clearly, his jaw was broken, and his bones and joints often ached when the weather changed.

Mr. Chinh is currently living with his wife, Mrs. Ho Thi Tho. Presenting gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to war invalid Le Minh Chinh, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son encouraged him and his family to continue to improve their lives and contribute to the development of their homeland and country.

Also in Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son and the working delegation visited and gave gifts to war invalid Phan Thi Dieu in hamlet 4.
Ms. Dieu joined the Youth Volunteer Force in 1972, stationed in Thanh Hoa. She was wounded on October 10, 1972 at Thi Long station, Thanh Hoa. In 1975, she returned to her hometown and married Mr. Ho Minh Duc. Currently, Ms. Dieu and her husband sell small groceries at Giat market, living with their youngest son. Her family and children are exemplary, following the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws and policies.
