Located in the border area, adjacent to Vieng Thoong district, Bolikhamxay province (Laos), Tam Hop Primary School has 267 students studying at 5 schools, of which Pha Lom school has 87 students. This school year, the school welcomed 67 students entering grade 1. In recent years, with the attention of the Party and State, facilities and classrooms have been invested in, the rate of children going to school reached 100%.

Attending the opening ceremony with teachers, parents and students of Pha Lom village, comrade Nguyen Van Thong said he was very happy and excited to join in the atmosphere welcoming the new school year here. Praising the spirit of overcoming difficulties of teachers and students of Tam Hop Primary School, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also highly appreciated the investment in infrastructure and schools by the local government and education sector, especially for remote areas such as Tam Hop commune.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong said that in any period, the role of schools and teachers is extremely important. Teachers not only teach but also contribute to shaping the personality of students, creating confidence and motivation for them to succeed in life.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also noted that teachers need to respect the diversity in thinking, learning, living and training of students. Teachers must truly be the ones to guide students in order to contribute to building a friendly school and active students.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also expressed his gratitude to the officers and soldiers of Tam Hop Border Guard Station for their attention and support to the local education sector in the past time, hoping that the officers and soldiers wearing green uniforms will continue to be a solid spiritual support for the border people in socio-economic development in general and the education sector in particular.
