Chau Thanh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities has more than 99% of its students being children of ethnic minorities. Sharing the joy of the opening day this morning with teachers and students of the school was comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province.

On the morning of September 5, Chau Thanh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024 - 2025. In the 2024-2025 school year, Chau Thanh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities has 8 classes and 295 students. Of which, more than 99% of the students are Thai and Tho ethnic groups.

Currently, the school has 95 students (more than 32%) who are children of poor families.

Despite many difficulties, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school's students achieved many remarkable results, with many students winning the title of excellent students at the provincial level and high prizes at Science and Technology Competitions at all levels.

On the collective side, the school achieved the title of Advanced Labor Collective; many teachers were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the District People's Committee and many individuals were classified as excellent civil servants.

Entering the 2024-2025 school year, the school sets higher goals, not only in studying but also in training ethics, life skills and solidarity.

In particular, we are determined to creatively and effectively implement teaching and learning methods and forms of organization, testing and assessment to develop students' qualities and abilities; diversify the forms of organizing educational activities that integrate skills development for students; promote and improve the quality of STEM education, career education and orientation of students after secondary school.

Step by step improve facilities and teaching equipment; improve the quality of universal secondary education to level 3.

In addition, focus on developing and improving the quality of teachers and managers; pay attention to training and regular development to improve the professional capacity of teachers.

Attending the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented flowers and gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the school.

On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education and benefactors presented 95 gifts, 50 bicycles and 150 uniforms worth a total of 185 million VND to students in difficult circumstances who strive to study well.

Leaders of Quy Hop district and Chau Thanh commune also gave gifts to the school and students with difficult circumstances who strived to study well.
