In 2021, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people of Nghe An province have strived to overcome difficulties and achieved many outstanding results in all fields.

The total product in the province increased by 6.2%, ranking 3rd in the North Central region and top 10 provinces and cities nationwide; budget revenue reached over 17,000 billion VND. The province has 20 more communes meeting new rural standards, with a total of 300 communes meeting standards in the whole province, accounting for 72.99% of the total number of communes, with 7 district-level units completing the task of building and meeting new rural standards. Culture and society continue to receive attention, especially spearhead education, maintaining the top position in the country.
