Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh offered incense at Truong Bon National Historical Site and Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 19, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province led by comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to offer flowers and incense to express their respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland at Truong Bon National Historical Site and Do Luong District International Martyrs' Cemetery.

At Truong Bon National Historical Site, the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs, expressing their respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs of Company 317, the Youth Volunteer Corps against the US, who sacrificed their youth for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The delegation respectfully offered incense at the Memorial House of 1,240 officers and soldiers who bravely fought and heroically sacrificed to protect the Truong Bon traffic artery. Here, during the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, National Highway 15A - where Truong Bon is located - was a particularly important strategic location, connecting the North - South traffic arteries.
Next, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the Do Luong International Martyrs Cemetery (Da Son Commune, Do Luong District). This is the resting place of nearly 2,400 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, protecting the Fatherland and carrying out noble international duties.

Moved and impressed by the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs - the steadfast and indomitable sons who did not spare their blood and bones, dedicating their noble youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, the delegation promised to always uphold the spirit of solidarity; actively study and work; strive to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, contributing to the development of the homeland.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and presented gifts to war invalid Hoang Thanh (born in 1928), in Van Phuc hamlet, Thinh Son commune (Do Luong). He is a 4/4 class war invalid, with a 21% disability rate and a very difficult family situation.
The delegation also visited war invalid Nguyen Thi Xuan (born in 1942), in hamlet 4, Hoa Son commune (Do Luong). She is a 4/4 war invalid, with a disability rate of 23%. Her husband is also a war invalid but has passed away. The couple has 4 children, but 1 of them has a serious illness and is unable to work.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the wounded soldiers in the struggle for national independence and freedom. He kindly asked about their health and living conditions, hoping that they would take care of their health, continue to set a good example and be a strong spiritual support for their children and grandchildren.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that local Party committees, authorities and people need to continue to do a good job of gratitude; care for and look after the lives of policy families and people with revolutionary contributions.
