Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspects election preparations in districts along National Highway 7

On May 20, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation inspected the preparations for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in Do Luong, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts. The delegation included representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial People's Council.

In localities, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa acknowledged the efforts and attempts of the grassroots election committees to prepare carefully and in accordance with regulations. He also noted that localities should pay close attention to ensuring security and preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic during the election. At the same time, it is necessary to prepare for contingencies that may occur such as suspected cases or cases showing signs of Covid-19 infection, or cases where voters must be quarantined... During the election, it is necessary to instruct people to keep distance, maintain order, post distance markers, and assign people to regularly remind them... to ensure absolute safety.

In Do Luong district, the delegation inspected 3 polling stations in Yen Son commune and Do Luong town. In Yen Son commune, comrade Thai Thi Son - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, Chairman of the Commune Election Committee said that Yen Son commune has 6 polling stations in 6 residential areas. The commune has directed the preparation of facilities and equipment as required, and all preparations have been completed.

Inspecting the preparations for the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels in Anh Son district, the delegation worked at polling stations in Anh Son town and Thach Son commune. Anh Son District Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Sang said that Anh Son district has 136 polling stations. Since May 20, authorities at all levels have stopped all other non-essential work to focus on serving the election. To date, most of the preparation stages have been completed.

In Con Cuong district, the delegation inspected the polling station in Hamlet 2/9, Bong Khe Commune and some polling stations in Yen Khe Commune. Con Cuong district leaders said that previously, the District Election Committee had regularly inspected and supervised the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term at agencies and units in the district; inspected and supervised the election preparation work at 13/13 communes, towns and 6 agencies and units.

In the districtXiangyang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa and the working delegation inspected the election preparations at some polling stations in Thach Giam town. Comrade Phan Duc Son - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district said that 35 delegates of the People's Council of Tuong Duong district were elected with 9 constituencies; 360 delegates of the People's Council at the commune level were elected with 144 constituencies. Up to now, all preparations have been completed. Tuong Duong has 4 communes with 30 villages allowed to vote early, including Huu Khuong, Nhon Mai, Mai Son and Luong Minh.

In Ky Son district, the delegation inspected the preparations at the election teams of block 1 and block 5, Muong Xen town. Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa acknowledged the thoughtful and scientific preparations of the grassroots Election Committees in Ky Son. Many polling stations in Ky Son were fully equipped with disinfectants, rulers, separate water bottles and disinfectant wipes to serve voters, ensuring epidemic prevention work.

Reporting to the working delegation, Secretary of the District Party Committee Vi Hoe said,Ky Son district16/21 communes and towns (except Muong Xen Town, Chieu Luu, Bao Thang, Pha Danh, Nam Can communes) are allowed to hold early elections on May 21, 2021, the remaining 5 units will hold elections on May 23, 2021. Up to now, the communes that are allowed to hold early elections have announced the time and place of voting to all people in the area. At the same time, they have decorated and arranged the voting booths to ensure completion and compliance with the regulations on social distancing in the prevention and control of Covid-19.
