Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports: Proposing to let people take a day off for Vietnamese Family Day June 28
(Baonghean.vn) - At the meeting with the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs' supervisory delegation on the morning of March 9, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports proposed: There should be one more day off in the year on June 28 - Vietnamese Family Day.

She elaborated on this idea: Family is the nucleus of society and in the context of modern life, many family values are at risk of fading. Vietnamese Family Day aims to build awareness for everyone about the word "family", about the importance of family, thereby making efforts to build and nurture each person's home.
However, according to the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, for a long time, Vietnamese Family Day on June 28 has not really become a festival for families and clans. "I have been to many localities and seen people looking forward to this day off, I think this is reasonable. If we have a day off on Vietnamese Family Day, we will have a chance to calm down and focus on good family values" - Ms. Hanh said.
This proposal received the approval of some members of the National Assembly's Committee for Social Affairs. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province said that this is also a noteworthy opinion. "Since the Government decided to make June 28th Vietnam Family Day, many people have proposed to have a holiday" - Mr. Hien said.
